You are never too old to set another goal or to dream another dream
A line from CS Lewis, and Penny on aging, limiting beliefs, and the dreams we quietly decide are behind us.

"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream another dream." -- CS Lewis
And yet, how many times do we "older people" find ourselves thinking that we are too old to _______________(fill in the blank).
Many other limiting beliefs keep us from daring to even imagine our fullest dreams.
Then, if we do dare to dream, our limiting beliefs give us a second knockout punch; they keep us from taking steps to put these dreams into motion and then into reality.
I want to talk about aging. This in itself is rather radical, especially for a woman.
There is an old adage: "Never ask a woman her age".
What is the underlying message in that phrase: we need to stay young to be worthy, to be seen, and (especially) to be desired.
The myths about aging permeate our culture. We hear these myths starting from childhood. They damage our body, heart and spirit. But only IF we believe them.
It is time to rewrite and rebrand what aging means.
Why?
I want to live in the moment, each moment. I want to learn from my past, and always remain excited about my future.
My Mom, in her early 80’s, told me that she wanted to read my book on "Mind Powers" because she wanted to "go out strong".
That phrase "go out strong" has become a mantra for me.
At every age, I want to connect to my passion, purpose, pleasure, and possibilities.
I have been thinking about my next birthday.
I will be at the end of my 70’s this year. A year and half from now I will be entering my 80’s - Wow! That is a powerful realization - and still a bit frightening.
How many times do you put limits on the possibilities that are available to you ?
And, shockingly, these limiting beliefs are present for many people at any age.
Imagine that .. People in their 20’s and 30’s feel they are "past their prime".
I hear from women in their 20’s and 30’s who feel like they have failed because they do not yet know what their soul’s purpose is. At that young age, they already fear their looks and desirability are waning.
I hear from women in their 40’s who feel that they are about to lose any of their sexual desirability.
I hear from women in their 50’s that they feel suddenly invisible and irrelevant.
And I hear from women in their 60’s who believe no one will ever be attracted to them again.
I remember when I was 25 and thinking about going to medical school. The message I got from many people around me was that I was too old to start medical school - and, sad but true, I believed this statement.
Now, of course, I see how wrong that belief was, I regret not having followed that dream.
When I was 51 and newly divorced I felt that I might never find another beloved, that I might never have sex again, that life was going to be one of continuously diminishing returns.
And yet, it wasn’t until my 50’s that I found Tantra, deeper access to my spirituality.
Even more beautiful is that I found my Beloved, Michael, with whom I have been sharing my life and love for 24 years. We were married 4 years ago - 20 years into our relationship, and the adventures keep getting better.
Truly, the last 24 years have been ones of enormous growth, passion, learning, loving and great adventures.
What are your beliefs about aging? About money? About relationships?
What limiting beliefs do you have ?
What limiting beliefs keep you from living your life to the fullest?
What possibilities do you secretly want to still manifest in the time given to you here on this amazing planet?
What’s on your bucket list ?
And .. if you allow yourself to imagine ... are there more things you want to add to your bucket list?
Do you dare to dream?
To dream and then make it real?
Some of you might be thinking - well she must have good genes, or she got lucky.
As a way to excuse yourself, as not having those good genes or that luck.
Do you find yourself feeling like all the fun and passion and adventure is for other folks - but not you?
I want you to know that there is still magic in this life for you - if you will risk dreaming again.
Dream a big dream. Dream a dream that brings a smile to your whole being. Dream a dream that excites you.
Our work is all about becoming the author of your life - dreaming big and then creating your dream. And doing it with the support of guides and a community of fellow dreamers.
That is what our work is about.
Dream Big. Become the author of your life.
Check in with yourself.
For many people, the way to do that is to have a private ceremony with us.
We sometimes have private ceremonies with people to help them find the truest impediments to being the authors of their life. Then helping them dissolve those barriers.
Whether life is only lived once, or lived a thousand times, the most precious things we have are our dreams, love around us, and our adventures.
Dream big.
Our ceremonies are the dojo of dreaming.
Dreaming and then committing to creating the life you desire.
Our ceremonies are the dojo of finding and dissolving your inner impediments to truly living life like you wish.
